Ashley Louise Consulting are working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering company in Nottingham that is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer. Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineered components.
- Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes.
- Produce one-off and batch components from engineering drawings.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures and workholding.
- Carry out tool changes and offsets.
- Perform first-off inspections and quality checks.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Maintain programme documentation and production records.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller.
- CNC programming experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- CAD/CAM programming experience is desirable.
- Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls is desirable.
- Experience working with Haas or Matsuura machinery is desirable.
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is desirable.
