Role overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established engineering business based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled and supportive team, producing high-quality fabricated and welded components for a variety of industries. The successful candidate will have experience in both fabrication and MIG/TIG welding, be confident working from engineering drawings, and take pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Prepare, assemble and fit components prior to welding.
- Carry out MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Operate fabrication and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding.
- Strong fabrication and assembly skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
