Role overview

Ashley Louise Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering business for an experienced Press Brake Setter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team where you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brakes to produce high-quality folded components to tight tolerances. Working within a busy fabrication environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC press brake machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Select the correct tooling and machine settings.
  • Produce high-quality folded components to specification.
  • Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
  • Measure components using engineering measuring equipment.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Work to production schedules and achieve output targets.
  • Identify and report quality issues or machine faults.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Support the wider fabrication team where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brakes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings.
  • Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
