Ashley Louise Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering business for an experienced Press Brake Setter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team where you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brakes to produce high-quality folded components to tight tolerances. Working within a busy fabrication environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC press brake machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select the correct tooling and machine settings.
- Produce high-quality folded components to specification.
- Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
- Measure components using engineering measuring equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Work to production schedules and achieve output targets.
- Identify and report quality issues or machine faults.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Support the wider fabrication team where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brakes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings.
- Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
